LG Chem's new factory in Kobierzyce, near Wrocław, will be the first in Poland to manufacture batteries for electric cars. Electra M&E Polska will be responsible for various technological systems, including the installation of HVAC, sanitary, fire protection (sprinklers and hydrants), and steam and condensate systems, as well as nitrogen distribution and cooling systems that will be fully integrated with production lines. The project will be completed by April 2017 with production scheduled to begin in September 2017.
